Full job description

Position Summary

We’re looking for a creative, forward‑thinking individual to join our team as a Gage Designer Sr., reporting to the Quality Engineering Manager. In this role, you’ll take the lead in designing precision gages that ensure the highest quality in manufactured parts and component assemblies. Your expertise will help guarantee that every product meets strict quality requirements and performs exactly as intended.

What You Will Do

In this dynamic role, you will design a wide range of production gaging for machined components and multi‑component assemblies, including go/no‑go, functional, analytical, check fixtures, and CMM fixturing solutions. You’ll spearhead the creation of 3‑D models and detailed drawings for new gauging designs, as well as drive engineering updates that enhance the gaging capability of existing products. Collaboration will be key—you’ll work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to elevate dimensional quality, refine inspection methodologies, and strengthen design for manufacturability. With full ownership of your projects, you’ll manage timelines and budgets to deliver high‑quality results on schedule. Throughout every endeavor, you’ll champion company policies, safety standards, and security requirements to support a safe and compliant work environment.

We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of design experience

  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD

  • Self‑motivated with strong project‑prioritization skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a DOE Q‑level security clearance

A Successful Candidate Also Brings

  • Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems such as NQA‑1, AS9100, 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485

  • Experience with Creo/Windchill

  • ASME Y14.5 Technologist or Senior Certification
