Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Description

Only local candidates to North Dakota will be considered due to being fully onsite

We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst with a focus on finance to join our team. This role involves building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, partnering with business leaders to understand their reporting and analytics needs, and analyzing financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.

  • Partner with business leaders to understand reporting and analytics needs.

  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Create and maintain data models, reports, and key performance metrics.

  • Develop solutions using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, and related tools.

  • Automate reporting processes and improve data accessibility.

  • Work with IT and business teams to ensure data accuracy and reporting quality.

  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and recommend process improvements.

  • Document reporting processes, metrics, and data definitions.

  • Support additional analytics and business improvement projects as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or financial analysis.

  • Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills.

  • Experience gathering business requirements and turning them into reporting solutions.

  • Knowledge of data modeling and dashboard development.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Python, Power Automate, or similar tools is a plus.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a collaborative environment with both IT and business teams. The position requires interaction with various departments to ensure data accuracy and quality in reporting. A professional dress code is expected. The use of advanced technologies such as Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL will be integral to daily tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of West Fargo, ND.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115.00 - $140.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
