Floral Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a Floral Designer/Event Support Specialist to assist MGM's Floral Events team during its busiest season. This role will work alongside lead floral designers to recreate and install floral arrangements for high-profile events across MGM properties. Responsibilities include designing floral pieces from existing examples, preparing products and materials, assisting with event setup and teardown, transporting floral carts, and supporting onsite installations. This is a hands-on role that requires creativity, reliability, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced event environment.

Skills and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year of floral industry experience

• Ability to replicate floral designs from examples and follow design specifications

• Experience assisting with floral production, arrangement creation, and event setup

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed

• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

• Comfortable working early morning shifts when required

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet event deadlines

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Ability to work collaboratively with lead designers and event teams

• Comfortable performing setup, installation, and teardown of floral décor Ability to wear an all-black uniform and maintain a professional appearance

• 1+ year of event production or event floral experience

• 2+ years of floral industry experience

• Associate's degree or certification in Floral Design or a related field

• Experience leading installation or teardown crews for events

• Knowledge of current floral design trends and techniques

• Familiarity with floral inventory management and event production processes

• Experience working in hospitality, resort, casino, or large-scale event environments

• Ability to successfully complete a floral design test within a specified timeframe

• Experience with event budgeting and floral mechanics Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules and last-minute event needs
