SUMMARY: The Mortgage Servicing Specialist provides all servicing and support related activities for the bank's 1-4 family residential loan portfolio and acts as the primary liaison between the Call Center and customer. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: North Shore Bank's Position Descriptions are intended to describe only the major responsibilities of the job.You may be expected to perform other duties specified by your manager.Everyone is expected to contribute whatever efforts necessary to operate efficiently and effectively to ensure the success of North Shore Bank. Researches and resolves mortgage loan related questions or issues. Provides lockbox and payment processing activities such as reviewing the daily payment reject report and applying the rejected payments to the correct loans. Processes mortgage and consumer loan payoffs which includes applying payoff funds, preparing the Satisfaction of Mortgage document, refunding any overpayments, collecting any shortages, and communicating loan payoffs with third-party loan level service providers. Prepares all written mortgage and consumer loan payoff statements. Processes document, escrow waiver, PMI cancellation and scheduled partial release requests. Works with third-party monitoring service for insurance tracking, reviews reports, researches discrepancies and clears exceptions.
