Full job description

Standard Job Description

Lockheed Martin is seeking a dynamic Lab Supervisor to lead the day to day operations of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) fabrication. This is a working supervisor role: the incumbent will not only manage the team but will also actively build, assemble, and troubleshoot Electrical Ground Support Equipment on the floor. The position requires a minimum of 4 years of experience assembling electro/mechanical assemblies with associated certifications (e.g., advanced wiring/harness assembly and solder certifications).

You will recruit, onboard, and develop a high performing technician workforce, using regular performance appraisals, skill matrix tracking, and focused training initiatives to drive results. You will also execute and monitor the established learning plans, ensuring the team maintains the technical depth required for complex defense aerospace projects.

You will champion a proactive safety culture that includes regular audits. In close partnership with the project engineers, planners, and next level leadership, you will assign work packages to the right personnel to meet delivery dates while balancing workloads and capacity constraints.

You will also work alongside Project Engineers, Quality Assurance Personnel, and next level leadership to verify that all deliverables satisfy contractual obligations, industry standards, and internal quality criteria. Finally, you will apply data driven analysis of throughput, cost drivers, and quality metrics to pinpoint bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives—ranging from process refinements to automation and tooling upgrades. Your technical expertise combined with strong leadership will ensure the laboratory not only supports current program schedules but also evolves to meet the emerging needs of Lockheed Martin’s next generation mission critical systems.
