  • Escalate urgent client, caregiver, staffing, or operational concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

  • Monitor scheduled cases and proactively address potential coverage issues.

  • Follow established company procedures for emergency situations, staffing escalations, and after-hours communication.

  • Ensure all overnight staffing changes and relevant information are accurately communicated to the daytime coordination team for follow-up.

  • Complete required documentation and system updates related to overnight staffing activity.

  • Maintain professional and timely communication with caregivers, clients, families, and internal departments.

  • Remain actively engaged and available throughout all scheduled overnight hours, rather than simply being available on a passive or standby basis.

  • Respond promptly to incoming calls, messages, callouts, and staffing needs throughout the scheduled shift.

  • Efficiently manage time, prioritize urgent matters, and make sound decisions independently during overnight hours.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a home care or healthcare setting, preferably in staffing, scheduling, or coordination.

  • Familiarity with NYS DOH Home Care operations are preferred.

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in urgent situations.

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision during overnight hours.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple calls, staffing needs, and competing priorities.
