Taconic Rehabilitation & Nursing at Ulster is looking to add a Dietary Aide to its team. In this role, you’ll help provide high-quality meal service while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment for residents, visitors, and staff. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve meals according to resident dietary needs, portion guidelines, and established meal schedules

  • Assist with food preparation, portioning, and distribution of meals, snacks, beverages, and nourishments

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, dishes, utensils, and workspaces

  • Operate dietary equipment safely and accurately record food, beverage, and equipment temperatures

  • Assist with inventory, stocking, receiving, and proper storage of food and supplies

  • Transport meal carts and food trucks throughout the facility in a safe and timely manner

  • Accommodate resident preferences and special dietary requests whenever possible

  • Follow food safety, infection control, HIPAA, safety, and facility policies and procedures

  • Report equipment issues, hazards, accidents, and resident concerns to the appropriate supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Preferred: Some food service experience

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to provide courteous and professional service to residents, families, and staff

  • Dependable, organized, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
