THE WORK

Lockheed Martin is seeking a skilled Level 2 Hardware Engineer with a Final Secret security clearance to work from our beautiful Colorado Springs location .

Standard Job Description

  • Conducts or participates in the research, design, development, and testing of COTS or custom computing hardware and/or otherelectrical components.

  • Develops designs for the installation of components and assembliesinto chassis, racks, cabinets,workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters.

  • Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met.

  • Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports.

  • The engineer will assist in breaking down tasking, execute assigned responsibilities, and document processes and solutions.

This is an Emerging Professional (level 2) ROLE where candidates typically require 1+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Basic Qualifications

  • Computer and Server Hardware Installation experience

  • Experience with hardware design and documentation

  • Ability to read, understand, and modify cable drawings and diagrams

  • Must be willing to travel

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to climb steps, stairs, ladders, and step ladders.

  • An active Secret Clearance is required for consideration

Desired Skills

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to travel to install sites and lab/test locations

  • Familiarity with Ground Systems integration

  • Systems engineering or EE background/experience

  • VoIP experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft products

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and the Atlassian suite.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible work arrangements and schedules (e.g., 4x10), 401(k) match, Paid time off, Holidays, Parental Leave, EAP, Flexible Spending Accounts, Education Assistance, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
