Underwriting Services Assistant I - Hybrid (Broomfield, CO | 3 Days Onsite)

We are seeking an Underwriting Services Assistant on a 6 to 12 month contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid; 3 days onsite (Tuesday - Thursday), but will re-evaluate after the first 90 days!

Responsibilities

• Assist in time sensitive distribution of policy correspondence and legal documents via physical mail or email.
• Assist with building inspections to validate information provided and consistent, communicating non-standard or atypical findings within service standards.
• Gain an understanding of agency management, product distribution, and claims procedures that enhance growth and underwriting profit.
• Professionally communicate with relevant stakeholders via email or other appropriate methods.
• Work cross-functionally with Compliance, Claims, Product, Underwriting and other business units to develop process improvements and product enhancements.
• Provide input and feedback to leadership for continuous process improvement.
• Fill in for other team members to ensure business continuity during peak periods and/or when team members are unavailable.

Qualifications

• Insurance industry background is a plus.
• Underwriting Assistant experience is a plus.
• Experience working in a production environment.
• Analytical mindset.
• Consistent work history; no job hopping.

Preferred Qualifications

• Insurance, Mortgage, or closely related office experience
• Successful completion of insurance and/or financial designations
• Experience with building construction types and/or terminology

Technology Preferences

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams)
