KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Long-term Marketing & Innovation Strategy

  • Lead 3-year Promo/Holiday strategy , identifying opportunities to drive regional penetration, recruitment, frequency, customer growth and market share.

  • Develop a clear point of view on Promo gaps and opportunities, balancing brand equity, consumer value and commercial return .

  • Fully own the Promo/Holiday P&L, partnering with Finance and Sales Planning to establish budgets, investment guidelines and ROI expectations to proactively manage resources against business priorities.

  • Identify risks and opportunities throughout the year and proactively recommend course corrections to maximize business performance.

  • Evaluate promotional effectiveness and recommend opportunities to improve ROI, productivity and consumer engagement.

  • Ensure Clinique’s Promo/Holiday strategies are differentiated within the market while maintaining a cohesive and elevated Clinique brand experience . Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop 1 direct report (PA/intern), providing clear direction, coaching, prioritization and opportunities for professional growth.

  • Establish a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, curiosity and continuous improvement.

  • Delegate effectively while maintaining appropriate oversight of critical deliverables and business priorities.

  • Mentor team members in strategic thinking, analytical storytelling, project leadership and cross-functional influence.

  • Serve as a role model for Clinique’s values and ways of working. Consumer, Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Leverage consumer research, Circana/market data, retailer POS, e-commerce, competitive intelligence and internal sales data to identify growth opportunities and inform Promo/Holiday strategy.

  • Monitor evolving consumer behaviors, cultural trends, category dynamics and retailer strategies across Prestige Beauty.

  • Identify whitespace opportunities across categories and retailers by analyzing consumer behavior, competitive activity, market trends, retailer dynamics and business performance and translate what’s applicable for Clinique.

  • Establish and track key KPIs to measure promotional effectiveness, consumer engagement and commercial impact.

  • Effectively communicate insights, recommendations and business implications to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Retail & Go-to-Market Execution

  • Lead end-to-end execution of Promo/Holiday programs across North America, from strategic brief through launch, in-market optimization and post-program analysis mapping against national marketing calendar.

  • Oversee full project management of Promo/Holiday programs including timelines, dependencies and deliverables, proactively identifying and resolving barriers to execution as well as post-mortem analysis and fast application of learning.

  • Partner with Sales and Account Management to ensure programs are tailored to retailer, channel and consumer needs while maintaining consistent brand standards.

  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Education and Retail Marketing to ensure programs translate into compelling in-store and omnichannel consumer experiences .

  • Partner with Creative to develop strategic briefs that clearly articulate business objectives and needs to ensure all consumer-facing materials accurately communicate program value, pricing, promotional mechanics and brand messaging.

  • Partner with Field Sales to ensure successful market implementation and troubleshoot executional challenges.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of marketing experience , ideally within Prestige Beauty, Luxury, Consumer Goods or a similarly consumer-driven industry.

  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams within cross-functional teams, competing priorities and tight timelines.

  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of P&L and budget management, market share, pricing and ROI .

  • Strong understanding of the Prestige Beauty retail landscape , including department stores, specialty multi-retailers, e-commerce and emerging channels.

  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching and developing direct report (PA/intern).

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Circana, retailer data, consumer research and other market intelligence tools preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
