Summary of Key Duties for this position:

Understand and use the principles and disciplines of spacecraft Test Engineering.
-
Author and maintain Automated Test Scripts, used to conduct satellite tests.
-
Aid in planning spacecraft level test flow.
-
Support Systems Engineering and Certified Principle Engineers (CPEs) in the verification of test requirements.
-
Collaborate with external teams to solve spacecraft and/or EGSE performance issues.
-
Support test procedure closure activities in Automation Framework.

Plan/Execute specific Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) verification procedures (including RF test systems) and plan/execute nominal electrical procedures/scripts from ground test stations.

Willing to work some overtime and support off-shifts and/or weekends in a 24/7 operations environment.
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
-
Minimum 2 years of professional test experience
-
Proven test-automation experience – developing, debugging, and executing test scripts in a high-level language
-
Basic knowledge of Linux
-
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Ethernet, serial protocols)

Understanding of best software-development practices
-
Proficiency with Git (branching, merging, pull-request workflow, tagging releases)

Willingness to work shift work, weekend work, and overtime as needed to meet mission goals

Desired Skills

Experienced Test Conductor on Space Vehicle Integration and Test Programs, covering both Component and System-Level Functional & Environmental testing

Hands-on experience with Space Vehicle Test Operations: test development, execution, data analysis, and anomaly resolution

Excellent technical writing, planning, and verbal communication skills; adept at building consensus and strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams
-
Demonstrated systems-thinking ability – understanding how electrical test data impacts overall vehicle performance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
