Survey Technician

Apply Job Type Full-time Description Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Technician to join our team. This position will assist Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal description, and computing survey points. Requirements - Assisting Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal description, and computing survey points - Processing of raw field data through Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D - Perform QA/QC checks - Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff - Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service. - Lead by example - display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism. Required Experience: - Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills. - Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of easement documents, legal descriptions, final plat preparation, construction staking - Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center for production activities. - Ability to manage multiple tasks, support project coordination, and interact with other design services. - Full use of Microsoft Office. - Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode. Preferred Experience - An Associate Degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related area of study - SIT Certification - Land Development, both Commercial and Residential, and Public Infrastructure Projects - Coordinating activities with office personnel, including surveying technicians and engineering staff - Experience searching for/recovering Public Land Survey System monuments - Ability to travel and remain on a project site or other Westwood office for extended periods (must have the capability of self-funding the total amount of expenses until reimbursement can be disbursed) Processing and drafting utilizing LiDAR point clouds and imagery - TBC Scanning Module preferred - MicroStation experience preferred - Ability to utilize survey field equipment is preferred. - FAA Part 107 UAS License About Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
