Summary: Coordinates and oversees daily technical operations of department under direction of imaging director or designee and performs various MRI diagnostic imaging and/or interventional procedures, preparation and ability to administer of contrast material, in accordance to hospital/departmental policies, procedures, QA/QI control procedures, and other ancillary job duties with the goal of providing the highest quality of appropriate imaging services possible to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in the most efficient and cost effective manner, demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of patient served by the Imaging Services Department. The goal is provide delivery of these services in a timely, courteous, and cost effective matter in accordance with federal and local regulations within the institutions policies and procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate of accredited program in radiologic technology. ARRT (R) required, MR certification required. General knowledge of a specialized or technical field normally associated with and A.A. or A.S. degree.

Experience: Requires a minimum of 3-5 years experience with any of GE MRI unit platform, HD, HDXT, 450W, 750.

*License: *ARRT (R) and/or (MR) NYSDOH with current BLS and/or injection certification

Working Conditions:

Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Some occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
