Warehouse and Disposition Manager – Role Summary

Based in Waterton Canyon, this role serves as the central hub for Storage and Disposition operations spanning Colorado, California, and Alabama. The manager balances limited warehouse capacity against dynamic program and customer demands, overseeing all asset types—from small items to oversized equipment requiring specialized transport. The position enforces precise disposition protocols at contract closeout or asset retirement, ensures lifecycle accountability and audit readiness, manages lease and capacity forecasting, and makes real-time storage allocation decisions to maintain operational continuity.

This role sits at the intersection of logistics, contract administration, and strategic resource management. It also serves as the enterprise-wide Space process owner for Storage and Disposition disciplines, aligning policies and standards across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

Centralized Storage Operations

  • Optimize warehouse footprint across CO, CA, and AL sites

  • Dynamically allocate space based on fluctuating demand

  • Differentiate handling by item size, weight, and equipment needs

Storage Duration Management

  • Administer both short-term and long-term storage

  • Ensure compliance with contractual retention/disposition timelines

Disposition

  • Execute asset disposition per contract closeout, regulatory, and customer requirements

  • Coordinate timing, documentation, and transfer/disposal methods

Lifecycle Accountability & Auditing

  • Maintain end-to-end asset visibility and identification accuracy

  • Support audits through complete trails, reconciliation, and documentation

Lease & Capacity Management

  • Oversee building lease obligations

  • Communicate current capacity and forecast future needs aligned with budgets/programs

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and assess staff; assign work

  • Manage performance, compensation, recognition, and discipline

Metrics & Reporting

  • Oversee reports on supplier performance, mission readiness, and inventory health

  • Advise on diverse-scope tasks and operations

Authority

  • Manages subordinate associate managers, supervisors, and exempt professionals, guided by functional practices and management precedents.

  • Maintains communication with internal staff, external customers, and peers across levels.

  • Acts as a consultant on significant, long-range matters.

Complexity

  • Addresses diverse-scope issues requiring evaluation of storage limitations, specialized transport needs, contractual mandates, and multi-site coordination.

  • Advises on strategic initiatives rather than daily supervised tasks.

Impact

  • Sets strategic direction, allocates resources, and drives organizational objectives. Decisions affect financial posture, operational efficiency, and customer program continuity.

  • Functions as a key consultant on high-significance, long-term matters.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse/inventory management, preferably within defense/aerospace or similarly regulated environment.

  • Proven experience with FAR/DFAR requirements, Government/Customer contracts, Property Management systems, and lifecycle management.

  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-site, geographically dispersed operations.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

Desired Skills

  • Proficient with MS products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Proficient with data visualization software (Tableau, etc.)

  • Process improvement experience

  • Excellent written/verbal communication; ability to brief leadership and coordinate across functional teams.

  • Demonstarted full spectrum leadership

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $123400.00 - $229200.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
