Description

Cardiovascular Sonographer | US Heart and Vascular | Orion Medical Orion Medical is in search of a Full Time Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our team in southeast Houston. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs 2-D Echo, stress echocardiography and Doppler studies.
  • Perform vascular testing (preferred) including carotid doppler, upper and lower extremities arterial doppler, upper and lower extremities venous doppler, venous Insufficiency ultrasound, abdominal aortic aneurysm screening ultrasound, ABIs.
  • Explains procedures to patients and obtains informed consent from patient.
  • Ensures all required licensure/certification always remain active/current.
  • Provides excellent customer service and the highest quality patient care.
  • At all times protects the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) of patients per HIPAA regulations; including does not review his/her own record, or records of employees or co-workers without a “need to know”.
  • Actively demonstrates teamwork.
  • Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
  • Always adheres to company safety standards.
  • Other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience is preferred but not required. New graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Credentialed in Adult Echocardiography and Vascular (ARDMS or CCI) is required, current BLS certification.
