Full job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Configuration Manager to join our team in Chesapeake, VA . This position is onsite.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Define and maintain configuration baselines to serve as reference points for future development, testing, and deployment

  • Review, track, and approve changes to system configurations, hardware, or software components

  • Conduct regular audits of configuration items (CIs) to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance

  • Create and update configuration management plans, policies, and procedural documentation

  • Act as a liaison between IT, operations, and development teams to resolve configuration issues

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years’ experience in configuration management

  • Proficiency with configuration management and tracking tools

  • Experience in Systems Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of ITIL frameworks or formal change control board (CCB) procedures.

  • Served in this role for the DoD

  • Navy background

Clearance Requirements:

  • US Citizenship and active Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other standard equipment.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in all professional situations.
