Position Title:

Program Manager I-Career Pathways & Talent Management-HR Talent Development & Learning-Mount Sinai Health System-Hybrid-Full Time-Days

Position Summary:

The Program Manager supports the planning, implementation, and ongoing administration of talent and workforce development initiatives, with primary responsibility for Career Pathways and Talent Management programs. Working collaboratively with leaders, HR partners, and key stakeholders, this role coordinates project activities, monitors program outcomes, supports stakeholder engagement, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts.

The Program Manager applies project management principles to support enterprise talent initiatives and may assist with additional workforce, learning, organizational development, or talent management programs as business needs evolve.

This role requires strong program management expertise, the ability to translate strategy into operational execution, and the ability to support various programs, frameworks, and systems as organizational needs evolve.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or greater preferred, or a combination of applicable experience and education

  • 3+ years experience (5 preferred), managing and administrating program activities for assigned area

  • PMP or related certifications and course work preferred.

General Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong program/project management skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and trends

  • Experience with change management and HR program execution

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,526.72 - $105,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Responsibilities

Program Management and Operations

  • Support the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of talent management, workforce development and other programs as needed

  • Coordinate project plans, timelines, meetings, communications, and stakeholder engagement activities.

  • Facilitate meetings, document decisions and action items, and monitor progress against project timelines.

  • Collaborate with departments and stakeholders across the organization to support program execution and integration.

  • Track program milestones, participation, and outcomes; prepare reports and presentations for leadership.

  • Identify project risks, barriers, and process improvement opportunities and elevate recommendations as appropriate.

  • Maintain program documentation, resources, and process materials.

  • Provide project management support for additional initiatives as assigned.

Career Pathway Programs

  • Coordinate and align career pathway programs across the health system, creating a centralized approach to student engagement, workforce development, and talent pipeline strategies.

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including educational institutions, community organizations, and workforce development stakeholders ensuring strong communication, partnership management, and program alignment.

  • Participate in site visits across health system locations and partner schools as needed to support program activities and relationship management.

  • Assist with program events, committee activities, participant tracking, and outcome reporting ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with organizational workforce priorities

  • Establish and manage systems for tracking participant engagement, program outcomes etc.; analyze data to assess impact, and contribute insights to guide program strategy

  • May represent the health system at external meetings, conferences, and partnership events related to healthcare workforce development, education, and career pathways

Talent Management

  • Support administration of enterprise talent management processes, including talent reviews and succession planning activities.

  • Help maintain tools, resources, and communications that support managers and employees.

  • Assist with reporting, process monitoring, system updates, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Provide support for related performance management initiatives, including

  • goal setting, performance reviews, and related talent activities.

  • Partner with leaders, HR partners, and other stakeholders to support talent management processes, stakeholder engagement, and successful program execution.

  • Provide administrative and project support related to performance management activities as appropriate

  • Assist with stakeholder communications, training materials, and resources that promote understanding and adoption of talent management processes.

  • Monitor completion rates, trends, and metrics to inform improvements
