DMAC Hardware Support Technician (Contract)Job Description

This on-site role in Phoenix focuses on delivering high-quality Technology Move, Add, and Change (DMAC) support within a fast-paced financial markets environment. You will manage hardware-based moves, adds, changes, imaging, migrations, and large move project coordination, while maintaining accurate documentation and providing responsive customer service. The position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed and a strong commitment to teamwork and detail-oriented execution.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Technology Move, Add, and Change (DMAC) activities, including hardware moves, disconnects, reconnects, and changes for end users in a financial markets environment.

  • Coordinate and execute deployments, installations, PC builds, and basic PC and hardware fulfillment tasks, ensuring accurate disconnect and reconnect procedures.

  • Support large move projects by planning, organizing, and coordinating activities, including imaging, migrations, and refresh efforts for Windows 11 devices.

  • Engage and coordinate with vendors for telephony and data services, ensuring installations are completed by target dates through multiple request management tools.

  • Procure necessary systems access and resources required to complete DMAC, deployment, and migration activities in a timely and compliant manner.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to email and telephone inquiries from internal clients, providing clear updates, answering questions, and resolving issues.

  • Document all work performed, including updating logs, asset records, status reports on open requests, and task status, to maintain accurate and auditable records.

  • Maintain and update timesheet logs using Excel and the Fieldglass tool, ensuring time and activities are recorded accurately and consistently.

  • Follow established processes and procedures while adapting to changing business needs, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborate closely with team members, demonstrating a strong team-oriented mindset and supporting colleagues to achieve shared goals.

  • Use tools such as ServiceNow and other request management systems to track, manage, and close support requests and project tasks.

  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support for hardware, Windows 11, Microsoft Office Suite, and Office 365-related issues as part of deployment and DMAC activities.

  • Perform imaging and data migration tasks, including refresh activities, to ensure devices are properly configured and users experience minimal disruption.

  • Maintain a high level of customer service by communicating clearly, setting expectations, and following up with users regarding project and request updates.

  • Adhere to deadlines and manage multiple concurrent tasks, ensuring DMAC activities and deployments are completed accurately and on schedule.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of Technology Move, Add, Change (DMAC) coordination and/or fulfillment experience in a financial markets environment.

  • Hands-on experience performing hardware moves, disconnects, reconnects, adds, and changes for end-user devices.

  • Proven experience with deployments and installations, including PC builds and basic PC and hardware fulfillment.

  • Strong customer service background with the ability to respond effectively to email and telephone inquiries.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate vendor engagements for telephony and data services and manage installations to meet target dates.

  • Experience working with request management tools, such as ServiceNow or similar systems, to track and manage work.

  • Proficiency with Windows 11, including imaging, migrations, and refresh activities.

  • Knowledge and practical use of Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365 in a support or deployment context.

  • Ability to perform imaging and data migration tasks accurately and efficiently.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting work, updating logs, and communicating with users and team members.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-intensive, team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in addition to a standard 40-hour workweek when business needs require.

  • Solid troubleshooting and technical support skills for hardware and Windows-based environments.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing business requirements.

Additional Skills and Qualifications

  • A+ certification is a plus and demonstrates a strong foundation in hardware and PC support.

  • Experience working in a large financial or investment banking environment is highly beneficial.

  • Familiarity with asset management practices, including updating asset records and status reports.

  • Experience maintaining timesheets and activity logs using Excel and vendor time-tracking tools such as Fieldglass.

  • background in coordinating technology moves and deployments across multiple stakeholders and locations.

  • Ability to interpret and follow established procedures while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage documentation, request status, and project timelines.

  • Comfort working with business users and technology teams, acting as a liaison to ensure smooth execution of DMAC activities.

Work Environment

This is an on-site role based in Phoenix, Arizona, within a fast-paced, deadline-intensive team environment. You will work primarily standard full-time hours, with the flexibility to support evening and weekend work when required by project or business needs. The workplace follows a business casual dress code. You will use technologies such as Windows 11, Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, ServiceNow, Excel, and the Fieldglass tool, and you will regularly interact with internal users, technology teams, and external vendors. The environment emphasizes teamwork, responsiveness, and accurate documentation while managing multiple requests and projects concurrently.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
