Full job description

Description We are looking for an experienced contract and administrative specialist with strong attention to detail to support complex agreement management for a long-term contract position based in Cleveland, Ohio. This role focuses on preparing, reviewing, and overseeing a wide range of contract documents while partnering with internal stakeholders to align terms with operational and business goals. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment in compliance, risk evaluation, reporting, and process improvement within a structured business environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and manage complex contract documentation while ensuring timelines and stakeholder expectations are met.

  • Partner with program leaders and business teams to develop master agreements, purchase-related contracts, and supporting terms that reflect organizational objectives.

  • Evaluate contract performance and prepare reports that confirm alignment with negotiated terms, procurement standards, and cost control expectations.

  • Examine clauses and conditions to identify concerns, determine business impact, and support sound risk-based decisions.

  • Collaborate with legal resources and subject matter experts to address exposure areas and strengthen contract language where needed.

  • Monitor and communicate key performance metrics to improve contract administration effectiveness and overall service quality.

  • Maintain organized historical contract and legal records to support audits, reference needs, and ongoing business operations.

  • Present updates to leadership and cross-functional partners on contract status, potential risks, and recommended mitigation or contingency actions.

  • Recommend workflow and tool improvements that increase efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance the quality of deliverables.

  • Represent the organization in contract-related discussions and provide guidance on contractual interpretation, administration, and medium-sized project support. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years of relevant experience.

  • In place of a degree, 9 years of applicable work experience is required.

  • Demonstrated experience drafting, negotiating, interpreting, and administering complex contracts and supplier agreements.

  • Strong knowledge of contract terms, compliance expectations, company policy alignment, and commercial or government specifications.

  • Ability to assess contractual risk, support mitigation planning, and communicate recommendations clearly to management and business partners.

  • Experience preparing reports, tracking metrics, and using data to improve operational effectiveness.

  • Strong negotiation, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to manage medium-sized projects successfully.

  • Juris Doctor or advanced degree in Business is preferred.
