ABOUT THE ROLE Spurs Club is San Antonio's premier hospitality and social club, a private club that combines world-class dining, exclusive experiences, genuine community, and an unmistakable connection to the Spurs, without feeling like a sports bar or a museum. Operated by Legends Global, the club relies on the Food & Beverage Service Manager to lead the service experience for members and their guests. This role is accountable for the people, the product, and the process of food and beverage service across the club, and reports to the General Manager.

This is a hospitality and leadership role. We are looking for a visible, hands-on manager who knows members by name, sets a clear standard for service, and develops a team that delivers it every shift.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES)

What Success Looks Like

  • Members feel recognized and welcomed, and member satisfaction and repeat visits grow.

  • A stable, engaged service team with strong retention and clear paths for advancement.

  • Consistent execution of service standards across every shift, event, and dining experience.

Member Experience & Service Excellence

  • Deliver warm, attentive, personalized service, and be present in the dining room and at the front door during peak periods.

  • Learn and recognize members, guests, and VIPs, and record preferences, occasions, and dietary needs so every visit feels personal.

  • Set, train, and audit steps of service across lunch, dinner, game-day, and special-event service.

  • Partner with the Membership & Private Events Manager to execute member events and private functions with precision.

  • Champion member feedback and service recovery, track recurring themes, and close the loop with the member and the team.

People Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop the front-of-house hourly team, and be a visible role model on the floor.

  • Assist the General Manager with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, appraisals, and retention.

  • Deliver pre-shift meetings, ongoing training, and real-time coaching, and hold team members accountable with fairness and consistency.

  • Build morale through recognition and clear expectations, and develop future leaders from within the team.

Food & Beverage Operations

  • Partner with the culinary team on menu knowledge, tastings, and line-ups so the service team speaks to the product with confidence.

  • Oversee beverage service, including wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails, bar standards, and responsible service.

  • Maintain the quality, cleanliness, and presentation of the dining room, bar, and event spaces, and coordinate service flow between kitchen, bar, and floor.

Standards & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Texas alcohol laws and responsible service standards, including TABC certification for the team.

  • Uphold food safety and sanitation standards, and follow and refine SOPs in line with Legends and Spurs Club standards.

  • Maintain member and guest confidentiality and discretion at all times.

WHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of restaurant or club management experience in a culinary and hospitality-driven operation.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach a service team, with a record of improving engagement and retention.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-touch, consistent, personalized service.

  • Working knowledge of wine, spirits, and beverage service, and proficiency with POS systems.

  • Current food handler or food protection manager certification and TABC certification, or ability to obtain on hire.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days, including Spurs game days.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Private club, country club, fine dining, or luxury hospitality experience.

  • Familiarity with Club Essential or similar club management software.

  • Experience supporting private events and member functions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
