Description

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Remote Lead Data Analytics to join our team. Position Summary The Data Analytics Lead is responsible for leading the design, delivery, and governance of USHV's reporting and analytics function, translating clinical, operational, and financial data into actionable insight for leadership. This role oversees the development of dashboards, KPIs, and ad hoc analyses, sets standards for data quality and reporting consistency, and mentor's analysts across the organization. The Data Analytics Lead partners closely with IT, operations, finance, and clinical leadership to ensure data-driven decision-making is embedded across USHV.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Leads the design, development, and delivery of dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports for clinical, operational, and financial leadership.

  • Sets standards for data quality, reporting definitions, and analytics methodology to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organization.

  • Partners with clinical operations, finance, HR, and IT leadership to identify reporting needs and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.

  • Leads ad hoc and deep-dive analyses on key business questions, such as productivity, cost of care, staffing, and growth trends.

  • Mentors and provides technical direction to data analysts, reviewing their work for accuracy, clarity, and business relevance.

  • Presents findings and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board in a clear, actionable format.

  • Collaborates with the Data Architect/Engineering function to ensure underlying data pipelines and models support reporting and analytics needs.

  • Evaluates and recommends business intelligence tools, dashboarding platforms, and analytics best practices to improve reporting efficiency.

  • Maintains documentation of key metrics, definitions, and reporting logic to support consistency and audit readiness.

  • When position requires travel to/from other locations, ensures vehicles are operated and maintained in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company requirements.

  • Fosters a team-oriented environment by encouraging cooperation, providing support, and resolving conflicts constructively.

  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions.

  • Follows processes and policies for the organization.

  • Reports to work as scheduled, ready to perform duties, and promptly notifies their supervisor of any attendance issues.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Health Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Five (5) years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, preferably in a healthcare or multi-site services environment.

  • Demonstrated experience building dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with data from multiple systems, including EHR, financial, and HR platforms.

  • Prior experience leading or mentoring analysts or a small analytics team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field, or professional certification in data analytics or business intelligence (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Certified Data Analyst).

  • Experience with total cost of care, productivity, or provider performance analytics in a healthcare setting.

  • Familiarity with EHR and practice management systems commonly used in multi-site healthcare organizations.
