Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join a team in Blue Ash, Ohio on a Contract basis. This opportunity is well suited for an accounting specialist with at least 3 years of experience who can support core financial operations with accuracy and consistency. The role will focus on maintaining reliable records, assisting with tax-related activities, and contributing to day-to-day accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate monthly and periodic financial reporting.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.

• Assist with corporate tax activities, including support for filings, documentation, and related account analysis.

• Manage sales tax processes by reviewing transactions, preparing required data, and helping ensure timely compliance.

• Support the preparation of corporate tax return information by organizing records and validating financial details.

• Work within Sage Intacct to record transactions, review account activity, and generate accounting reports.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather financial information and improve the accuracy of accounting records. Requirements

• Experience using Sage Intacct for accounting operations and financial record management.

• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a staff accountant or similar role.

• Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.

• Knowledge of corporate tax principles, including exposure to corporate tax return support.

• Familiarity with sales tax processing, reporting, and compliance requirements.

• Experience using Sage Intacct for accounting operations and financial record management.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a Contract position.
