Childcare Business Specialist

LSI is seeking a full-time Childcare Business Specialist for Immigrant and Refugee Community Services in Waterloo, Iowa! What You'll Do

Responsible for supporting refugee childcare providers in language-appropriate training and skill development. Child Care Business Specialist will provide services to clients in both a classroom and in-home setting. Specialist will coordinate interpreted trainings and manage attendance tracking. Specialist will coordinate classes related to home safety and DHS regulations for childcare. Home visiting will include supporting childcare providers in meeting DHS health and safety requirements, business development, quality improvements and other community referrals, as needed. Specialist will provide administrative support to childcare providers regarding DHS registration, timesheets, paperwork, mail, business operations and other information as it relates to childcare registration. Child Care Business Specialist will ensure providers adhere to DHS childcare registration process, rules and regulation.

What You'll Need

Required: Associates degree in a human service related field with a minimum of 2 years of early childhood or childcare experience.

Preferred: Bachelors degree in a human service related field with 1 year of experience in early childhood or childcare services. Additionally, preferred applicants will have experience with DHS rules and regulations for child care providers and experience or knowledge of small business operations. How We'll Support You
