THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Sr. Analyst, Procurement (Commissary Ingredient) , you will own the procurement, planning, and supplier management activities for raw materials and processing within Chipotle's Commissary portfolio, with primary responsibility for seasonings, sauces, and other LTO ingredients. This role serves as the raw material procurement lead for applicable categories, and a key partner to Planning, Commercialization, Culinary, Marketing, FSQA, Finance, commissary manufacturers, and ingredient suppliers.

The Senior Analyst, Commissary Ingredient Procurement will independently manage ingredient supplier relationships, sourcing events, ingredient cost models, item setup, pricing, raw material tracking, and inventory risk. A critical responsibility is owning the end-to-end raw material lifecycle for sauce and seasoning ingredients related to Limited Time Offers (LTOs), from forecast and sourcing through purchasing visibility, consumption, reconciliation, and program closeout, ensuring materials are available in the right quantity and at the right time while eliminating shortages, avoiding excess inventory, and minimizing financial exposure. You will also maintain and update policies and procedures to ensure procurement activities are in accordance with corporate standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own daily procurement activities and supplier communications for LTO projects, ingredient raw materials and other assigned raw materials and/or projects.
• Build and independently manage ingredient supplier relationships to support service, quality, supply continuity, capacity, cost, and innovation objectives.
• Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP activities for confirmed raw materials, including supplier outreach, bid analysis, commercial recommendations, and implementation support.
• Create and maintain raw material item setup documentation, SKU creation, pricing records, sourcing information, units of measure, and product attributes within Oracle and other procurement systems.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze ingredient and raw material cost models, commodity inputs, supplier quotations, market information, and forecasted financial impacts to support sourcing and negotiation decisions.
• Partner with Commercialization, Culinary, Marketing, FSQA, Planning, and commissary manufacturers to ensure raw materials are sourced, qualified, contracted, and available before trials, training, and launch.
• Own raw material tracking for LTO programs, including analyzing raw material inputs and financials, communicating raw material risk, monitoring supplier lead times, production usage, yield inputs, shelf life, and projected shortage or excess exposure.
• Recommend changes to raw material commitments, including splitting, reducing, deferring, reallocating, or canceling orders, and escalate decisions that exceed delegated authority.
• Maintain ingredient mapping by SKU, supplier, source, lead time, contract status, capacity, risk, and approved alternate or backup supply options.
• Support and lead routine raw material pricing negotiations and support strategic or high-value negotiations with the Senior Manager, Commissary.
• Monitor supplier performance, contract utilization, pricing compliance, on-time delivery, corrective actions, and capacity commitments; prepare inputs for supplier reviews and QBRs.
• Identify and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, supply assurance, and process improvement opportunities without compromising food safety, quality, or service.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, raw material planning, inventory management, food manufacturing, or related field.
• Strong math and analytical skills with experience working in Excel and large data sets.
• Maintain and build cost models, analyze spend data, and interpret inventory trends.
• Working knowledge of strategic sourcing, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, supplier negotiations, contracts, commodity or ingredient cost drivers, and supplier performance management.
• Ability to independently identify supply risks, quantify operational and financial impact, develop recommendations, and communicate escalations clearly.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders, suppliers, materials, and LTO timelines simultaneously.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Planning, Commercialization, Culinary, Marketing, FSQA, Finance, Operations, and external suppliers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate activities with suppliers and internal teams.
• Experience supporting sourcing activities, supplier management, inventory planning, or commercialization projects preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar systems preferred.
• Travel Required: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time based on business needs. Travel may include domestic travel, overnight stays, and trips lasting up to five consecutive days.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $85,000.00–$122,500.00.
