Duties & Responsibilities:

The Transporter safely transports patients of all ages throughout the facility at the direction of the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or ED RN.

This employee is cross-trained to assist the staff by running errands, cleaning and restocking the department.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED.
-
Basic Cardiac Life Support or ability to complete it at time of hire.

Has documented experience as a transporter or custodial experience or is willing to be cross-trained at point of hire.

Can properly lift or transfer the patient's weight; good communication skills.
