Senior Device / Camera Test Automation Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr Device / Camera Test Automation Engineer to execute within the XR/AR space for a high level enterprise portfolio. This individual will: -Build automated tests for charging-case functionality from the client-provided specification. -Design and automate secure-boot test cases for glasses and glasses cases (secure and unsecure units). -Build automated tests covering glasses camera software functionality. -Integrate device and camera automation into client's existing automated testing framework. -Stabilize suites that become unreliable after repeated runs; root-cause non-deterministic failures. -Triage automation failures, route defects to the responsible team, and maintain suite pass rate.

This role can pay between $70-85 depending on skillset and years of experience.

Skills and Requirements

-6+ years in test automation, QA engineering, or embedded/device test -Strong Python automation skills; experience with CI-integrated test frameworks. -Hands-on testing of physical consumer hardware or device-attached software. -Experience diagnosing and fixing flaky tests. -Comfort working onsite with device fleets and test rigs. -Camera, imaging, or multimedia software test experience. -Secure boot / bootloader / device-security testing. -Consumer electronics, wearables, or XR/AR device experience.
