Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a safe, productive, and quality-focused shop environment by ensuring all work adheres to applicable safety policies and procedures.

  • Manage shop personnel directly, including supervisors, repair/assembly technicians, and machinists, to develop team capability through coaching and training.

  • Drive daily management at the Tier 1 and Tier 2 levels to align the team on key performance metrics, gaps, recovery actions, and continuous improvement priorities.

  • Execute continuous improvement of key operational metrics, including safety, quality, on-time delivery, cycle time, backlog, productivity, and cost.

  • Schedule labor, materials, equipment, and shop capacity effectively to consistently meet customer demand and delivery commitments.

  • Lead structured problem-solving and corrective actions to address operational, quality, and customer-delivery issues.

  • Partner with sales, customer service, supply chain, and engineering teams to resolve issues, remove roadblocks, and improve customer responsiveness.

  • Manage departmental priorities and preventative maintenance plans to achieve operational objectives while meeting financial performance expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a minimum of five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, repair, or industrial environment.

  • Three or more years of supervisory experience managing teams in a manufacturing or repair environment.

  • Experience leading daily management systems, visual management, tier-board meetings, and plan-versus-actual performance reviews.

  • Financial and operational acumen, with the ability to understand, communicate, and use performance metrics to drive results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with rotating-equipment repair, particularly mechanical-seal repair.

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methods, root-cause analysis, standard work, and lean manufacturing principles.
