About the Role

As a CBRE Finance Senior Manager, M&A Operations, you will serve as the dedicated finance lead for acquisitions, integrations, divestitures, carve-outs, and other strategic transactions. This role owns financial governance, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and value realization activities across the deal lifecycle, from diligence and transaction execution through integration planning, budget governance, and post-close value capture.

You will partner closely with M&A Diligence & Integration, Corporate Development, Finance, Accounting, Tax, and M&A functional stakeholders to manage transaction and integration financials, drive executive reporting, and support successful transaction outcomes. The role operates across multiple concurrent transactions and serves as a key advisor to transaction teams and executive leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the finance lead for acquisitions, integrations, divestitures, carve-outs, and other strategic transactions.

  • Provide end-to-end financial leadership across the deal lifecycle, from diligence through post-close integration and value capture.

  • Develop and manage transaction and integration budgets in partnership with functional stakeholders.

  • Lead forecasting and reforecasting activities across active transactions and integration programs.

  • Monitor actual spend, commitments, accruals, and forecasts against approved budgets and identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.

  • Establish and maintain financial governance processes for transaction and integration costs.

  • Prepare financial reporting, variance analyses, and executive-level updates for transaction governance forums, Steering Committees, and senior leadership.

  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support transaction and integration decision-making.

  • Coordinate month-end and quarter-end activities related to transaction and integration financials, including accruals, reclasses, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Tax, and M&A workstream leaders to ensure financial accuracy, transparency, and compliance.

  • Maintain visibility into deal costs, integration spend, forecasts, value capture activities, and associated risks.

  • Drive accountability and financial discipline across transaction teams and integration workstreams.

  • Support the continuous improvement of M&A financial governance, reporting, forecasting, and value realization processes.

  • Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to executive and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • 8+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, Transaction Finance, Integration Finance, Corporate Development Finance, or a related field.

  • Direct experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations, divestitures, carve-outs, or large-scale transformation initiatives.

  • Experience managing complex budgets, forecasts, and executive-level financial reporting.

  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and financial reporting processes.

  • Experience presenting financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive outcomes in a highly matrixed environment.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent transactions and priorities.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong business judgment, problem-solving capabilities, and an ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • M&A integration experience.

  • Corporate Development, Strategic Finance, Transaction Services, or Deal Advisory experience.

  • Big Four Transaction Advisory, Deals, or M&A Consulting experience.

  • Experience supporting global transactions and integration programs.

  • Experience working with ERP, financial planning, and reporting systems, including budgeting, forecasting, project accounting, and financial reporting tools.

Key Success Outcome

Drive financial governance across active transactions while ensuring executive leadership and transaction teams have timely visibility into deal costs, integration spend, forecast changes, value capture performance, and associated risks.
