Summer Intern – Manufacturing Process Engineer
The Manufacturing Process Engineer Summer Intern will join a team of Manufacturing Engineers supporting the daily operations of a high-mix commercial door lock manufacturing facility in Colorado Springs, CO. This role will offer early career experience and real-world applications of engineering principles and problem-solving techniques. Ideal candidates for this role will have strong mechanical aptitude and an ability to learn complex product assembly processes while identifying deficiencies and opportunities for improvement
What You Will Do:
-
Contribute to improvement projects to achieve financial productivity goals
-
Contribute to the development and improvement of mixed-model assembly processes
-
Assist in the development of process documentation and its utilization by manufacturing operations
-
Design basic mechanical components/assemblies for work holding and fixturing
-
Troubleshoot equipment and process failures
-
Assist in capital equipment requisition and installation
-
Identify opportunities for safety and quality improvements
What You Need to Succeed:
-
Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering degree path
-
Mechanical design aptitude
-
PTC Creo or equivalent solid modeling design software experience
-
Personal time management skills
-
Ability to work effectively with time and resource constraints
-
Strong teamwork and internal customer-relation skills
-
Effective verbal and written communication at all levels
-
Ability to work both independently and within teams
-
Effective data collection, analysis, interpretation, and resulting decision-making

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
- The expected Base Hourly Range: $25-$26. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
