Full job description

Description We are looking for a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to support a pharmaceutical client in Warren, New Jersey on a contract position. This role will lead configuration and delivery efforts for engagement management and transparency reporting processes, partnering with business, compliance, finance, and technical teams to align system capabilities with operational needs. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with MediSpend solutions and can guide implementation activities from requirements through testing, user readiness, and deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead workshops with business and compliance stakeholders to define operational needs and convert them into effective system configurations for healthcare practitioner and healthcare organization engagement processes.

  • Build and refine workflow components such as assessments, qualification steps, approvals, documentation controls, and contract routing to support compliant engagement execution.

  • Establish payment-related processes by coordinating request flows, approval paths, and connections with finance and accounts payable teams.

  • Configure rules for spend categorization, validation logic, exception handling, and reporting outputs to support aggregate spend and transparency obligations.

  • Create and maintain data mappings across source systems, ensuring engagement and payment information is accurately transferred, reconciled, and aligned with master data.

  • Investigate workflow and transaction issues, resolve data discrepancies, and partner with cross-functional teams to correct incomplete, duplicate, or inaccurate records.

  • Oversee testing activities by developing scenarios, supporting user acceptance efforts, documenting defects, and confirming resolutions before release.

  • Prepare training materials, user guidance, and operational documentation while providing go-live assistance and post-launch stabilization support.

  • Manage implementation work using structured project management practices, tracking deliverables, priorities, risks, and progress through tools such as Jira.

  • Support data migration and integration troubleshooting as part of the overall deployment and configuration effort. Requirements • Hands-on experience implementing or configuring MediSpend Engagement Manager and transparency reporting solutions.

  • Background working within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device environments with strong awareness of compliance-driven processes.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare stakeholder and healthcare organization engagement workflows, including contracting, payment handling, and related controls.

  • Experience with aggregate spend reporting, data validation, reconciliation, recipient alignment, and exception resolution.

  • Ability to translate business objectives and compliance requirements into system setup decisions, test plans, and process documentation.

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, with skills in Agile or Scrum-based delivery and use of Jira for planning and tracking.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.

  • PMP certification or equivalent project leadership experience is preferred, along with availability for onsite collaboration in the local area as needed. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
