Full job description
Description We are looking for a Food & Beverage Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations supporting food and beverage venues in Anaheim, California. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, strengthening accounting procedures across multiple entities, and delivering timely reporting that supports sound business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capability, and a detail-oriented approach to month-end close, reconciliations, and financial controls.
Responsibilities:

Direct day-to-day accounting activities for food and beverage operations, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and on schedule.

Create, refine, and maintain standardized accounting procedures that support consistency across multiple legal entities.

Evaluate journal entries and supporting documentation to confirm accuracy, completeness, and proper classification before posting.

Reconcile sales activity to the general ledger by category, department, and event, and investigate discrepancies through to resolution.

Match daily settlement activity to banking records and resolve variances in a timely manner.

Prepare financial recap reporting for events and venue performance to provide clear operational insight.

Oversee intercompany reconciliations, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and clear outstanding differences promptly.

Lead monthly and year-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance review, audit support, and oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and budget tracking. Requirements • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including responsibility for month-end close and general ledger activities.

Experience supporting multiple legal entities and handling intercompany accounting is required.

Strong working knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.

Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor staff, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively across departments.

Excellent attention to detail, sound communication skills, and a consistent focus on accuracy and process improvement.
