HR Coordinator
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $55,000–$65,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time

We are currently seeking an HR Coordinator to join our team in Salt Lake City. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented HR professional who is looking for a long-term career opportunity and wants to continue developing their skills and experience in Human Resources.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in accuracy and organization, can manage multiple priorities, and is eager to learn and take on additional HR responsibilities over time.
Position Summary
The HR Coordinator will provide support for the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, with exposure to recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits, payroll, compliance, employee relations, HR reporting, and HR projects.
This position will work closely with employees, managers, leadership, and other departments to help ensure HR processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Pre-Employment

Assist with the recruiting and hiring process, including posting job openings and coordinating interviews.

Schedule candidate interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process.

Assist with reference checks, offer letters, and new hire documentation.
-
Coordinate pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.
-
Respond to candidate questions and assist with recruiting projects and initiatives.
New Hire Onboarding & Offboarding
-
Coordinate new hire onboarding and ensure required paperwork and documentation are completed accurately.

Assist with HRIS setup and coordinate with IT to ensure new employees are prepared for their first day.

Assist with new hire orientations and onboarding activities.
-
Maintain accurate employee information and documentation.

Assist with exit paperwork and coordinate employee offboarding activities.
HR Administration & Employee Support

Serve as a helpful resource to employees and managers by responding to general HR questions and requests.

Maintain confidential electronic personnel files and employee records.
-
Conduct periodic audits of HR files to ensure records are complete and accurate.

Prepare HR correspondence, forms, reports, and other documentation.

Assist with employment verification requests.
-
Maintain HR tracking spreadsheets, lists, reports, and other records.
-
Assist with payroll-related HR processes and employee information as needed.
Compliance & Employee Relations

Support workers' compensation processes and other HR compliance activities.
-
Assist with maintaining required employee documentation and records.

Coordinate DMV checks and maintain required driver records.
-
Assist with employee relations matters and escalate issues appropriately.

Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and company information.
HR Programs & Projects

Assist with HR reporting, audits, data tracking, and other administrative projects.

Support HR initiatives designed to improve processes and the overall employee experience.

Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows, organization, and efficiency.

Collaborate with the Marketing team on employee newsletters, holiday graphics, new hire announcements, and other internal communications.

Assist with special projects and other HR initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
-
1–2 years of HR experience ; internship or relevant academic experience may be considered.

Strong interest in developing a long-term career in Human Resources.

Experience with an HRIS; ADP experience is preferred.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and HR data.

Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Professional, approachable, and customer-service-oriented personality.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.

Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

Demonstrated initiative and a desire to identify ways to improve processes and efficiency.
