Staff Accountant

Description If you are an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk or Staff Accountant and ONLY want to work PART TIME, look no further. Robert Half is looking for an experienced PART TIME Accounting Specialist / Staff Accountant with an eye for accuracy at a growing Machinery Manufacturing company located in Temperance, MI. As the Accounting Specialist / Staff Accountant, you will assist with updating vendor accounts, AP ledger, billing, invoicing, prepare check runs and do bank reconciliation. This is an onsite role and is PART TIME working 5-6 hours Monday - Friday.

Must meet the following criteria to be considered:

• Have 3 years or more of solid accounting experience in accounts payable

• Excellent attention to detail, with remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

• Knowledge of general ledger

• General Journal experience

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Experience with ERP systems JobBoss highly preferred

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics Requirements • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in an accounting support or staff accounting role.

• Working knowledge of general ledger processes and general journal entries.

• Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and quantitative skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt effectively in a fast-moving environment.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational ability.

• Proficiency with spreadsheets and database-driven systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent related experience.

• Experience with JobBoss is strongly preferred.
