The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace is seeking aManufacturing Supervisorto work out its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

TheManufacturing Supervisor coordinates and assures the execution of production flow. Responsible for staffing assigned operations, equipment, and reducing manufacturing costs. Coordinates with all Sidney operations to maximize productivity, delivery and product quality. Execution of process improvements, cost reductions and manufacturing efficiencies..

The key responsibilities of theManufacturing Supervisorinclude, but are not limited to:

  • Manage AAO Sidney Production workflow centers, production, and production support groups

  • Administrative responsibility for hourly employees

  • Understand and resolves impediments to production flow (i.e. materials shortages, labor, and or equipment issues)

  • Responsible for insuring Safety and Quality of the assigned work area

  • Facilitate budgeted cost reductions, productivity improvements, and capital equipment recommendations

  • Facilitate and support training of assigned personnel

  • Interface with Union leadership in resolving labor issues and enforces all Company policies

  • Customer service support and responsibility for on time delivery

  • Supervisor and Manager Responsibilities Related to EHS:

  • Ensure safe work practices are being followed by their employees

  • Ensure their direct reports attend required EHS trainings

  • Understand training requirements for tasks that are being performed

  • Ensure incidents and near misses are appropriately reported and corrective actions are implemented

  • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY

  • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

Salary: $62,534 - $75,000

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of aManufacturing Supervisorat Amphenol Aerospace:

  • Minimum BA/BS in an operations related discipline or equivalent education/experience

  • 3-5 plus years of prior operations or materials related experience

  • Cost reduction and budget experience

  • Prior personnel management and/or leadership experience

  • Working knowledge of plant manufacturing operations and MRP systems

  • Understanding of factory documentation and quality systems

  • Good problem solving skills

  • Ability to move about the factory floor and stand for long periods of time

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds

  • Computer usage
