We work to restore quality of life to those with debilitating conditions for which there are no treatment options, creating devices aimed at restoring vision, cognition, and mobility to patients who have lost it. To support progress across our industry, we provide state-of-the-art components and vertically integrated infrastructure for others to build on via Science Foundry. Science Corporation seeks candidates for the senior level position of Director of Sales, Foundry based at the Science Foundry in Durham, NC. This Director of Sales is responsible for the development and execution of the commercialization strategy for Science’s Foundry. This Director will identify and close new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and oversee the overall market performance to ensure revenue growth and expansion of the Foundry’s presence. Role Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the Foundry commercial strategy, including market prioritization, pricing approach, channel strategy, annual sales plans, forecasts, budgets, and performance KPIs.
- Identify and develop new markets, partnerships, and commercial opportunities; build and manage a pipeline of prospective customers and partners in anticipation of regulatory approval.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across target markets, including enterprise customers, distributors, and strategic partners; lead commercial negotiations and manage contract agreements.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management on product and commercialization strategies.
- Analyze competitors, pricing structures, market trends, and competitive dynamics; provide market intelligence and customer feedback to inform continued product development and strategy.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and with key opinion leaders across the industry.
- Provide performance reports and strategic updates to executive leadership.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related Engineering field required.
- 8+ years of sales or business development experience, with at least 3 years in a senior-level role; proven experience managing and developing sales markets.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion in competitive hardware or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills, strategic account management expertise, and a consultative, credibility-first approach to sales.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building capabilities, with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Experience operating in a startup or scale-up environment — you know how to get things done without a large team or established playbook; comfortable with ambiguity and able to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of the semiconductor and wafer market landscape.
- Fluency in English required; additional language(s) a strong plus.
