Job Duties

IDR is seeking a Principal Delivery Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Eagan, Minnesota. This role involves overseeing the technical project management of large-scale software development, including mobile and web applications, within a regulated environment. The position offers a leadership opportunity to coordinate complex projects from inception through deployment in a dynamic organization.

Position Overview for the Principal Delivery Manager:

  • Manage the delivery of multiple software products, including mobile apps for iOS and Android, and web apps for employees and participants.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product owners, and organizational stakeholders to ensure timely feature delivery.

  • Develop training guides, documentation, and standard procedures to expand software usage across the organization.

  • Track project progress, identify dependencies and obstacles, and proactively communicate issues and status updates.

  • Plan for new feature releases, align timelines, and manage operational impacts effectively.

Requirements for the Principal Delivery Manager:

  • 5-10 years of software project delivery of custom software development with a portfolio of multiple products in a regulated environment.

  • Technical ability to understand APIs at a high level, software development and design principles, etc., to communicate effectively with a technical audience.

  • Requires experience building 0-1 software, not incremental project management of existing products.

  • Interest and ability to work in the details with the team to advance the project; hands-on role.

  • Advanced problem solving, pro-active, ability to solve for complexity creatively in regulated environments.
