Surgery Scheduling Specialist - Texas Health Neuro Spine Specialists 19207

Work location: Texas Health Neuro Spine Ctr FW 19207 800 5th Avenue Fort Worth TX 76104

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Here's What You Need

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Experience

  • 2 years related experience in healthcare environment (Preferred)

  • Previous Surgery Scheduling experience (Strongly Preferred)

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate, register and schedule appointments for patients according to availability.

  • Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.

  • Ensure all required tests needed prior to surgery are done.

  • Coordinate and ensure necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc is arranged prior to scheduled procedure.

  • Schedule any necessary follow-up appointments.

  • Communicate and answer patients' questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival / departure instructions relative to procedure.
