Full job description

As a NPD Specialist, you will lead the end-to-end journey of new product development — from concept ideation to market launch. You will collaborate closely with R&D, marketing, regulatory, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality, effective, and compliant skincare products. .Key Responsibilities

  • Product Conceptualisation - Develop and refine innovative skincare product concepts based on market trends, consumer insights, and brand strategy.
  • Project Management - Own and drive the NPD lifecycle, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are achieved.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with different teams including packaging, procurement, regulatory, marketing, and operations teams to take products from concept to shelf.
  • Ingredient & Formulation Development - Identify key actives, evaluate prototypes, and refine formulations for performance, stability, and safety. Coordinate with derma-focused manufacturers and vendors.
  • Consumer Testing & Validation - Oversee sensory testing, trials, and consumer feedback loops to validate product-market fit.
  • Regulatory & Compliance - Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (BIS, FDA, EU, etc.), including claims, labelling, and documentation.
  • Budget & Resource Management - Monitor NPD budgets and manage resources efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cosmetology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in NPD within skincare / personal care / cosmeceuticals
  • Proven track record of successfully launching skincare products
  • Strong understanding of formulation science and regulatory compliance
  • Experience working with manufacturers in the derma space (preferred)
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong awareness of beauty industry trends and ingredient innovation
