Position Summary

The Product Director is responsible for leading the planning, prioritization, governance, and execution of the organization's Risk, Regulatory, and Compliance Book of Work (BoW). This role serves as the central coordination point between Compliance, Legal, Risk, Technology, Operations, and Product teams to ensure regulatory requirements are understood, translated into actionable business capabilities, and successfully delivered.

This role proactively monitors regulatory developments, assesses business impacts, facilitates enterprise readiness, and drives cross-functional execution to ensure compliance obligations are met while minimizing customer, operational, and business disruption. The Director acts as a trusted partner to Compliance and business leadership, balancing regulatory requirements with strategic business objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

Regulatory Leadership & Partnership

  • Serve as the primary business lead and strategic partner for Regulatory, Compliance, and Risk initiatives.
  • Build strong working relationships with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Audit, and business stakeholders.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into business, product, process, data, and technology impacts.
  • Coordinate business responses to new and changing regulatory requirements.
  • Lead regulatory impact assessments and facilitate decision-making with senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure regulatory commitments, findings, and remediation activities are tracked and delivered.

Risk, Regulatory & Compliance Book of Work Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end Risk, Regulatory & Compliance BoW roadmap
  • Partner with technology and business leaders to prioritize work based on risk, regulatory obligations, business value, and implementation complexity.
  • Develop annual and multi-year regulatory roadmaps aligned to enterprise strategy.
  • Monitor dependencies, risks, and execution progress across initiatives.
  • Facilitate governance forums and provide transparent reporting to leadership.
  • Ensure initiatives are adequately funded, staffed, and sequenced for successful delivery.

Strategic Planning & Transformation

  • Analyze industry and regulatory trends to identify emerging impacts and opportunities.
  • Recommend strategic responses to evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Drive cross-functional planning across Product, Operations, Technology, and Shared Services teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, governance, and operating models.
  • Promote scalable, sustainable compliance capabilities rather than one-time solutions.
  • Develop reporting and metrics to measure regulatory program health and compliance readiness.

Stakeholder Management

  • Influence and align senior leaders across multiple organizations.
  • Facilitate discussions where competing priorities or resource constraints exist.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, recommendations, and business cases.
  • Communicate complex regulatory topics in clear business language.
  • Build organizational awareness and readiness for regulatory change.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in US retirement and familiarity with U.S. regulatory environments.

  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.

  • Experience working within Agile, SAFe, or product operating models.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, risk, governance, or audit functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

  • Experience developing roadmaps, strategic plans, and governance frameworks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

When you join our team:

  • We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.
  • We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.
  • As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.
