Full job description

Job Description:

Manages the functional areas of JMH's compensation program. Plans, develops and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures for both exempt and non-exempt positions to be responsive to organizational goals and competitive practices. Responsible for survey participation and compensation analysis to keep salaries, hourly wages and compensation programs competitive and compliant with JMH compensation philosophy. Provides ongoing leadership and delivery of communication in support of change management related to systems and pay practices. Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation of business practices and requirements for use in process improvement and HRIS upgrades and implementations in Workday. Identifies training and educational needs for the Compensation and leads or participates in the training as applicable. Responsible for departmental training plans for application usage and workflow.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or relevant area - Required

  • Work in healthcare will be considered in lieu of a degree

Experience:

  • At least 5 years' exempt level experience in Human Resources administering compensation programs and HRIS platforms impacting for non-union and union staff, leaders and executives required

  • At least 2 years of Leadership experience over the Compensation function required

  • Demonstrated experience in working with third parties and salary software to determine appropriate compensation levels

  • High level of proficiency in a Human Resources Information System is required. Workday is preferred

  • Health Care compensation experience is required

Certifications:

  • CCP certification or certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) preferred.

Skills:

  • Advanced Excel skills required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to quickly respond to changing organizational demands

  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills

  • Ability to be self-directed, professional, work on collaborative teams, and be an effective team player.

  • In depth understanding of compensation theory and current best practices

Work Shift:

Exempt Salaried (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$183,328.00 - $274,992.00

Salary

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.

Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
