RK&K Construction Management Team is currently hiring an Inspector with water/wastewater construction experience in the King of Prussia and Philadelphia, PA areas. Relocation assistance provided for qualified candidates. Essential Function 1. As a construction inspector in RK&K's Construction/CEI division you will perform complex and routine inspections of construction to evaluate if appropriate materials and construction processes are being used; and that construction conforms to plans, specifications, and special provisions 2. Review drawings to prepare for the inspection and understand the design of the construction that will be inspected 3. Create daily reports, document the results of the inspection, and maintain organized, detailed, and up to date field files 4. Administer and implement the quality assurance/quality control programs of the client and/or contract 5. Conduct field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation as well as other contract administration documentation Required Skills and Experience 1. High School diploma or equivalent 2. Prior experience in the construction, inspection, operation, or design of water/wastewater and Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) projects 3. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications 4. Excellent communication skills 5. Strong record keeping ability 6. Ability to use an electronic tablet, computer and Microsoft Office products 7. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record 8. Ability to pass Criminal History Background Check (CHBC) 9. Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends as required by the project Physical Demands This role requires the ability to perform field inspections on active construction sites. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, navigate uneven terrain, and climb ladders or stairs. Ability to lift and carry inspection equipment and materials weighing up to 20-30 pounds on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and may include exposure to construction-related hazards.
