Job Description: We are looking for a strong Full Stack Engineer to help build scalable AI capabilities for Fidelity Wealth. In this role, you will partner with business, product, architecture, data, and platform teams to turn Wealth priorities into secure, reliable solutions that help advisors work more effectively and improve customer experiences.

  • Strong technical fundamentals and the ability to learn and apply new technologies effectively.
  • A builder mindset, with experience turning ideas into working prototypes and contributing to production-ready solutions.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to challenge assumptions and ask thoughtful questions.
  • Familiarity with modern programming languages, frameworks, algorithms, data structures, and common design patterns.
  • A test-first approach and commitment to quality engineering practices.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to contribute to design discussions with guidance from more experienced engineers.
  • A track record of owning issues, working through ambiguity, and delivering high-quality solutions.

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 3 plus years of software engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 1 plus years of experience.
  • Understanding of software design principles and experience applying them to build reliable, maintainable systems.
  • Experience developing software with at least one modern language, such as Python, Node.js, or Java.
  • Experience with, or exposure to, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience using GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or Claude.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a growth mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, embrace feedback, and deliver on commitments.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles. The base salary range for this position is $83,000-158,000 USD per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
