Full job description
Campus Recreation Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of participants utilizing the Swenson pool on the WSU campus. The Lifeguard provides quality customer service to aquatic participants and serves as a resource for department and program information. Duties include: Scanning and patrolling pool areas for safety,providing care in the case of an emergency or injury,enforcing facility and program policies,providing feedback to participants,encouraging participation in department programs (e.g.,incentive programs to promote exercise adherence),providing solid communication to supervisor and co-workers,providing daily upkeep and maintenance of office and pool facilities,and being a supportive team player. This position reports to the Aquatics Manager.**This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
