FUELS SPECIALIST

Summary

You will serve as a FUELS SPECIALIST in the COMMANDER, NAVY INSTATLLATIONS COMMAND of NAVAL STATION.

Duties

• You will serves as the Assistant Operations Manager, acting as the primary technical and operational advisor to leadership.
• You will coordinates all administrative facets of the fuel facilities, real property, and corrective maintenance systems.
• You will prioritizes maintenance cycle schedules and provides recommendations to ensure minimal impact to operational capabilities.
• You will advise managers and staff members on matters related to the Competency Based Training and Certification Program for the Department.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following demonstrating an extensive knowledge of the operation and maintenance of fuel facilities, storage and movement procedures, inventory management, quality control and safety factors related to the handling of bulk petroleum fuels. In addition experience must demonstrate a knowledge of developing and maintaining training plans, managing qualification programs, and monitoring training compliance programs. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Working knowledge of petroleum receipt, issue, quality assurance, transportation, maintenance and accounting; 2) Performing quality surveillance for fuels, lubricants and related products; 3) Applying a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning fuel facilities; and 4) Producing and delivering training products, monitoring and managing certification and compliance programs to ensure readiness. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. 40 hour work week is typical for this position. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
