About the Role:
As a Publishing Automation & 508 Accessibility Specialist supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to provide hands-on technical support for a publishing environment that delivers reports and findings to Congress and the public. You will remediate documents for Section 508 accessibility, prepare reports for print in Adobe InDesign, build and maintain VBA macro-enabled Word templates, and resolve publishing support tickets in ServiceNow. You will also help the program move from legacy, manual processes toward more automated, cloud-based production.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
-
Create Section 508-compliant PDFs from Word and remediate existing PDFs and forms (tags, reading order, tables, form fields, alt text) using Adobe Acrobat Pro and CommonLook
-
Use Adobe InDesign to format reports for print production, and perform Preflight checks to verify compliance with print vendor specifications
-
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Word VBA macros and macro-enabled templates and document automation workflows
-
Resolve assigned ServiceNow incidents and requests within SLA, troubleshooting Microsoft Office, Adobe, template, accessibility and publishing workflow issues
-
Identify recurring issues and manual steps that can be automated, and support modernization toward cloud-based, HTML-oriented, and AI-enabled publishing
-
Follow established SOPs, templates, and publishing workflows and identify opportunities to improve processes across Microsoft Office and Adobe applications
-
Represent Corner Alliance professionally in every client interaction, responding to requests with courtesy, patience, and a commitment to timely resolution
-
Own your workload end to end: give team leads and government stakeholders regular, proactive updates on progress, priorities, risks, and blockers, and raise schedule or quality concerns early
-
Work directly with government clients and collaborate with prime contractor staff, shifting focus as team priorities change and sharing knowledge with teammates
-
Carry out our Commitments to Deliver, Grow, and Thrive
Location:
You will work as part of a dynamic team remotely. You will work at the client site dependent on contract requirements.
Required Experience/Skills:
-
Bachelor’s Degree
-
5+ years of relevant professional experience in document accessibility, publishing or technical support
-
Demonstrated Section 508 remediation experience, including complex PDFs and forms
-
Hands-on proficiency with CommonLook Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro for accessibility remediation and testing
-
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, including conforming documents to print templates and running Preflight checks
-
Experience developing and troubleshooting Microsoft Word VBA macros and macro-enabled templates
-
Strong command of Word styles, templates, advanced formatting, and long-document production
-
Working knowledge of ServiceNow ticket management and experience meeting SLA-driven deadlines
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical issues clearly to non-technical clients
-
Demonstrated accountability and follow-through, with a track record of keeping leads informed and flagging risks before they affect delivery
-
Customer-service mindset and a collaborative, flexible approach to shifting team priorities
-
US citizenship or permanent resident and the ability to pass the client’s clearance or suitability process
Preferred Experience/Skills:
-
Certification or formal training in CommonLook, Adobe Acrobat Pro, or Adobe Creative Cloud
-
Experience with Enfocus PitStop, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Captivate, or other Creative Cloud applications
-
Graphic design, advanced print production or document layout experience
-
Scripting experience beyond VBA for document automation, plus familiarity with testing and version control
-
Familiarity with HTML, accessible digital publishing and modern digital-publishing workflows
-
Experience supporting accessibility or publishing for a federal agency
