Summary
About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Combat Development Specialist for the 75th Ranger Regiment located at Fort Benning, GA. Only resumes up to a total of two pages will be accepted.
Duties
- Plans research, development, test, and evaluation projects to meet approved operational requirements, schedules, and resource constraints.
- Tracks project cost, schedule, performance, and completion status to identify issues requiring corrective action.
- Analyzes operational capability requirements to recommend priorities for material solutions and modernization efforts.
- Prepares funding forecasts and resource data to support budget justifications and long-range program planning
- Evaluates emerging technologies, technical studies, and developmental concepts to identify potential solutions for operational users.
- Reviews system development plans, test results, technical reports, and manufacturer proposals to recommend specifications or acquisition actions.
- Assigns work to subordinate personnel based on mission priorities, assignment complexity, and employee capability
- Evaluates employee performance and identifies training requirements to improve technical proficiency and mission execution.

Analyzes operational requirements and technology information to recommend material solutions for military users; 2. Coordinates development, testing, and procurement activities to track project cost, schedule, performance, and completion status; 3. Evaluates technical studies, project plans, reports, and manufacturer proposals to recommend specifications, priorities, or resource decisions; AND 4. Assigns project work to personnel based on workload priorities, assignment difficulty, and employee capability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
