Job Details:
Job Duration: 12 Months
Shift: 1st (5am-1:30p) , 2nd ( 1pm-9:30pm), or 3rd (9p-5:30am)
Job Responsibilities:
-
Basic understanding of forging process and procedures
-
Ability to follow directions given by the Blacksmith or Supervisor
-
Keeps track of serialization of parts
-
Maintains a safe and organized work area and displays concern for maintain equipment (manipulator, furnaces, etc.)
-
Follows all company policies and safety procedures
-
Ensures that the parts being worked on are of the highest quality
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
-
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
-
Ability to operate a forklift and/or other powered industrial equipment
-
Regularly required to stand, walk quickly, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear in a load and hot environment
-
Frequently is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch, and climb onto equipment
-
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
-
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat.
