Admin Manager

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and support the organization's financial operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, overseeing the month-end and year-end close processes, and developing a high-performing accounting team.

Responsibilities:
-
Lead and develop a team of accountants.
-
Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger activities, account reconciliations, fixed assets, sales and use tax, and personal property tax.

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
-
Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
-
Monitor changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements and assess organizational impact.
-
Partner with leaders across the organization to improve financial and operational processes.
-
Utilize accounting and business systems to drive efficiency and support evolving business needs.
-
Provide financial analysis and guidance to management to support informed business decisions.
-
Coordinate audit and tax preparation activities and serve as a key contact for external auditors.
-
Support ongoing department and organizational initiatives as needed.

Works within and promotes vision, mission and values of BMC.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Duties:
-
Organizes, communicates and delegates responsibilities and priorities to subordinates.
-
Encourages and monitors career development providing technical training, coaching and expertise as needed.
-
Ensures compliance of employees to performance standards through coaching, counseling and conducting performance reviews as needed, but no less than annually.

Provides regular and timely feedback that recognizes employee performance, motivates employees and promotes self-development.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
-
7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
-
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
-
Experience leading or mentoring accounting professionals.
-
Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
CPA or CGMA designation.
-
Experience improving accounting processes and internal controls.
-
Experience working with integrated accounting and business systems.
