Accounting Manager

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support global accounting activities for a commercial biotech in Palo Alto, CA. This approximately 4-month contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented Accounting Manager (or assistant controller) who can oversee consolidated reporting, maintain compliance across international entities, and strengthen accounting processes in a complex global environment. The role requires strong expertise in foreign currency matters, intercompany accounting, statutory obligations, and Oracle Fusion within a multinational structure. If you have always wanted to work in the Life Sciences/Biotechnology space, this is your chance. Our client is prioritizing Oracle Fusion proficiency, so they welcome anyone that is not from life sciences/biotechnology if they have used Oracle Fusion. This role is hybrid, 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Pay is up to $80/hr. regular time and $120/hr. overtime.

Responsibilities:

• Using Oracle Fusion, lead worldwide consolidation activities and prepare accurate financial reporting for multiple domestic and international entities.

• Manage foreign currency translation processes and ensure the proper accounting treatment for global subsidiary results.

• Partner with cross-functional teams involved in global tax, infrastructure, and operational accounting matters to maintain consistent financial practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of accounting experience, including substantial responsibility for global consolidations and multinational reporting.

• Proficiency with Oracle Fusion and strong overall systems knowledge related to accounting and reporting.

• Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating effectively across global teams.
