Come break through with us.

The Specialty Materials segment manufactures products that provide more than 150 material formulations for glass, glass ceramics and fluoride crystals to meet demand for unique customer needs. Consequently, this segment operates in a wide variety of commercial and industrial markets that include display optics and components, semiconductor optics components, aerospace and defense, astronomy, ophthalmic products, telecommunications components and cover glass that is optimized for portable display devices.

Role Purpose

The Integrated Planning Leader is responsible for ensuring end-to-end alignment of the supply chain—from demand through supply—for assigned product lines. This role partners with cross-functional teams to develop and implement standardized planning strategies that maximize customer value, improve service, optimize inventory and capacity, minimize waste, and reduce costs.

The Integrated Planning Leader works closely with site Production Planning and Operations teams to balance supply and demand while accounting for material, labor, asset capacity, and operational constraints. The role is also a key contributor to the Division Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process, driving supply chain optimization from service, cost, and working-capital perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a core business partner for assigned product lines, understanding customer value and recommending supply chain strategies that optimize capacity, inventory, cost, service, and agility.

  • Support the design, development, and implementation of integrated planning process standards; govern adherence to established standards within the assigned scope.

  • Drive effective inventory management through planning master-data processes, policies, procedures, safety-stock strategy, and slow-moving inventory dispositioning.

  • Lead implementation of the SIOP Supply Step process to translate business agreements into short-, mid-, and long-range material, production, and distribution plans.

  • Ensure supply chain constraints are identified, understood, and addressed with appropriate urgency.

  • Act as the supply chain liaison for high-priority customers; contribute to business and customer review processes and facilitate resolution of supply chain issues and collaborative improvement opportunities.

  • Provide leadership and oversight for transitional supply chain activities, including:

  • New product introductions

  • Make-to-buy transitions

  • Multi-sourcing transitions

  • End-of-life activities

  • Enable seamless supply chain transitions that support on-time customer service while maintaining strong inventory control.

  • Use data to develop recommendations and support business decisions.

  • Influence cross-functional partners, build consensus, and drive decision-making within a matrix organization.

  • Travel up to 25%

Required Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Eight or more years of experience in supply chain planning, logistics, and/or inventory management.

  • Experience supporting the development of goals and objectives that promote accountability, urgency, and a customer-service mindset.

  • Proficiency with advanced ERP environments and/or advanced planning solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work effectively, manage project commitments, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Proven ability to work successfully in a matrix organization and influence stakeholders without direct reporting relationships.

  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to use data to make recommendations and drive decisions.

Desired Qualifications / Experience

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or an MBA.

  • Professional certifications in supply chain, operations, or engineering, such as APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma.

  • Background in supply planning, capacity planning, and/or material planning.

  • Working knowledge or expertise with SAP S/4HANA.

  • Working knowledge or expertise with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP).

  • Working knowledge or expertise with Power BI.

  • Experience supporting complex supply chain transitions, including product launches, sourcing changes, and end-of-life planning.
